The University Center offers several meeting rooms for use by the UMW community. These are a great way to hold meetings or host smaller events. Each room comes with several A/V options. The calendar on this page shows the availability of those spaces. After submitting a request here, your request will be reviewed by the UC Building Manager and the Director of Student Activities and Engagement before final confirmation. The Colonnade Room in the UC's largest meeting room. It also can be split into two separate rooms to accommodate multiple meetings if necessary. The Colonnade Room comes with a projector, screen, computer, and inputs for a variety of audio/visual devices (i.e. laptops, BluRay players, game systems, etc.) dedicated to each side of the room to be used if split. If open, the projectors can mirror the image from one source.
The Colonnade Room's furniture is able to be arranged to fit a variety of client needs for their event. The normal setups are conference square, conference U, theater style, and classroom style. Custom setups are available with approval from the University Center Coordinator.
When reserving all of the Colonnade Room, please book both Colonnade A and B.
The Capital Room is the UC's board room. The room is set in a fixed conference style with board room style chairs to add to its elegance. The table itself seats 22, with 18 additional chairs on the perimeter of the wall. The room comes with both a flat panel display which includes a telepresence option and a projector with multiple A/V hook-ups.
The Column Room is the UC's smallest meeting room and is setup in a fixed conference style seating that can host up to 12 with additional seating along the wall. The room comes with a flat-panel display with a built in computer, laptop A/V connections, and a Blu-Ray player.
Magonolia and Maple Rooms
The Magnolia and Maple rooms are our dining/meeting spaces. Located on the 4th floor right off of the dining hall, these spaces are great for holding small meetings while having a meal. The Maple room is used as the faculty/staff dining room until 3pm, so it is unable to be reserved until after then.
These rooms comes with a flat-panel display with ability to plug in a laptop via A/V connections.
